COMMUNITY OUTREACH

Design That Reflects. Construction That Uplifts.

Building Opportunity. Empowering the Next Generation.

Completed by Bowa Construction in 2020, the Dr. Conrad Worrill Track & Field Center at Gately Park is a state-of-the-art indoor facility and a powerful symbol of investment on Chicago’s South Side. Built in partnership with the City of Chicago and the Chicago Park District, the center provides a world-class space for youth sports, community programming, and local pride.

Bowa’s connection to Gately Park extends beyond construction. Since 2021, we’ve built a strong, consistent partnership with the Gately Park team, starting with a Track & Field Clinic and evolving into our flagship annual event: the BOWA Gives Girls’ Invite. Hosted by BOWA Gives, the philanthropic arm of Bowa Construction, the Girls’ Invite is more than a meet—it’s a celebration of sisterhood, sport, and empowerment.

We envision the Girls’ Invite as the premier event weekend for young women to connect, fellowship, and compete at the highest level. It’s designed to help girls build confidence, develop a strong sense of personal achievement, and see pathways to their full potential—as athletes, women, and future leaders.

BOWA is also a proud supporter of numerous Chicago Park District initiatives hosted at Gately, deepening community ties and helping to create safe, inspiring environments for youth engagement. At the heart of it all is our belief in the power of mentorship, persistence, and spaces that reflect the greatness of the communities they serve.

From Blueprints to Planters: FGMA Sparks Interest in Architecture

FGMA has participated in the Illinois Green Schools program at Uptown High School for several years. The initiative introduces students to architecture as a career through engaging presentations, followed by hands-on project work. The firm collaborates with students to design and build planters, combining creativity with real-world application.
